In the following words, I will show the instructions of how to make Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan USB installer very quick in either Windows or Mac OS X.
DOWNLOADS
- You need to prepare an USB (8 GB or bigger)
- Download El Capitan.DMG from here.
- Download DiskMaker X.
INSTRUCTION
To do in Windows, we already shared a very specific instruction from here: Make Bootable Installation USB from Mac OS X.DMG on Windows PC.
At for Mac users, there will be 2 doable methods.
METHOD 1: Using DiskMaker X

Run, DiskMaker X, then *choose El Capitan (10.11).

Next, choose Use another Copy

Double click on El Capitan.DMG to mount it, then borrow the El Capitan.app

Choose An 8GB USB thumb drive

Select the USB volume name, then select Choose this disk

Click on Erease to format the USB and create the disk

Click Continue, you then are asked for admin and password.

Wait for a while until the process is finished completely
METHOD 2: Use Terminal

Mount the El Capitan.DMG, then right mouse on Install OS X El Capitan.app, choosing Show Package Contents --> Go to Contents → Resources.

Open Terminal (Found in /Applications/Utilities/) ), type sudo then drag and drop the createinstallmedia from Finder window into Terminal window.

Next, type –volume into the Terminal → open Finder → click Go → Computer from Menu Bar → Drag and drop USB into Terminal → then type –applicationpath.

Open Finder window → Applications → Drag and drop Install OS X El Capitan GM Candidate.app into Terminal window. You now are ready to hit Return (Enter key).

Type “Y” to continues.

Wait for a while (25 minutes or longer) until the process is finished completely.
