Complete guide to Install Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 on VMware inside Windows

In this tutorial, you can get Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan installed on your VMware inside Windows quickly from the El Capitan VMware image we prepared.

Requirements

System requirements
Your PC must meet the following minimum system factors

  • 2GB Memory(RAM)
  • Number of Processors: 2
  • Hard Disk: 80GB
  • Graphics memory: 256 MB

Download

  • Download MacOS 10.11 El Capitan VMware Image (ISO)
  • Download unlocker208
  • VMware 10.10 Full version for Windows here
  • VMware 12 Full version is downloadable here.

Step 1: Create a suitable Customize Virtual Machine

  • Firstly, we have install the unlocker208 to be able to install MacOS on VMware by run the win-install.exe as administrator.

  • Launch VMware —> Click on File —> New virtual machine (Ctrl+N). Next, just click on Next button on the new virtual machine wizard window.

  • Make sure “I will install the operating system later” is checked before clicking on Next.

  • Since you have installed unlocker208, you are now able to select Apple Mac OS X as operating system. Make sure you choose OS X 10.11 under version.

  • Set the virtual machine name and location

  • Choose Store virtual disk as a single file, then just click on Next button

  • Click on Finish button

Step 2: It’s now so important to Customize the Virtual Machine Settings

Add the following line at the end:

smc.version = “0”

Note: If the above line does not work and you can not save (Ctrl+S) the file, just use the following instead:

Smc.version = 0

Step 3: Well, we are really to Install El Capitan on VMware now

Here is the result - Mac OS 10.11 El Capitan has just been installed successfully on VMware inside Windows

I want to ask does it has to be workstation 12 ? can I use workstation 10?
Because it doesn’t show that there is a choice for os x 10.11 workstation 10
